Thankful | Photographer in the Big Big World

I love November.  I didn’t always.  October used to be my favorite month.  I think now-November is how I remember October being.  Somehow October days have been pushed back into November.  Leaves falling.  Cooler nights.  Smells of fires burning.  Crisp air.  Sweaters.  Boots.  Fleece.  These are some of my favorite things.  Seasons changing.

Winter approaching.  Letting go of what’s hanging on.  Hunkering down for the cold.  Reflecting.  Growing anew.

November starts the holiday season, and in the midst of the everyday bustle of life, it becomes important to slow down, look around, and see who may need some help.  Who is struggling.  Who needs to see some light in their lives.  Show them some light.  Make a difference.  They will be thankful.

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
