Christmas seems to be approaching at the speed of light. I think all my shopping is done, though I’m not sure. I’ve decided, by default however, that it is. I’m just done. Done shopping.
Presents haven’t even begun to wrap themselves yet.
Guests arrive in a mere 3 days eeks! tomorrow (!), and I have yet to plan my menus for a week’s worth of eating and feeding. Groceries aren’t yet purchased.
Christmas cookies aren’t cooked. Check. Actually got that done. Well, most of it. My girls like to each cook their own cookie recipe with me, and just me. It’s not their recipe, rather, it’s one they’ve chosen. They’re not writing recipes. Anyhow, that part isn’t done yet.
Oh, and Christmas cards aren’t addressed yet. Even though I’ve had them for two weeks now. So much for ordering early eh? They continue to sit on my dining room table. Staring at me every time I walk by. They mock me.
Oh, and of course, we got about 20″ of snow over the weekend and the schools have closed until January. Which leaves me lots of free time during the days now that I have four kids home 24/7. NOT.
I just want it all to slow down already.

This is me. Hanging on by a thread.
Let’s all hope the wind doesn’t blow too hard.
Cheers,
A

HANG IN THERE!!! I know how you are feeling. The feeling of being rushed to get it all done before the big day! It will. You’ll see — even tho, you might not get a whole lotta sleep in the process. Just think how well you’ll sleep Christmas night! (ahh, sigh of relief)… Know that I’m thinking of you and hoping for calm, still weather – esp. windless days (and nights)!
I am hanging on for dear life – white knuckles! I think I can make it through 1 more day in the office and a couple more meetings and projects before I’m off for a week.
